How to assign and transfer assets

The different user actions allow you to assign, transfer, and unassign assets while keeping the status of an asset up to date.
Assign assets

Go to the asset details page of the asset that you want to assign.

On the Users card, click "Add".

Modify the attributes as necessary, then click "Assign asset".
You can assign multiple assets at once using the toolbar on the Inventory page.
Transfer assets
In some cases, you want to transfer an asset to another user, without unassigning and assigning an asset. Use the transfer option to quickly assign an asset to a different user.

Go to the asset details page of an asset.

In the user card, click the menu (three dots), then click "Transfer".

Modify the attributes as necessary, then click "Transfer asset".
Unassign assets

Go to the asset details page of an asset.

In the user card, click the menu (three dots), then click "Unassign".

Modify the attributes as necessary, then click "Unassign asset".
