Create, modify or delete categories

Every asset is part of a category. Highflare comes standard with a number of default categories. You can always add your own categories by following the steps below.
Create a category

Go to settings.

Click "Categories" in the sidebar to view the categories.

Click "Create category".

Fill in the category details, then click "Create category" to create a new category.
Prefix
A prefix is an affix placed before the leading zeros and the next asset ID number..
Number start point
The number start point specifies the next number of an asset.
Leading zeros
Leading zeros allow you to add digits before the next number.
Modify a category

Go to settings.

Click "Categories" in the sidebar to view the categories.

Click on the menu (three dots) next to the category that you want to edit, then click "Edit".
Delete a category
⚠️ Deleting a category is permanent. Once deleted, the category is irretrievable.

Go to settings.

Click "Categories" in the sidebar to view the categories.

Click on the menu (three dots) next to the category that you want to delete, then click "Delete".

If there are still assets assigned to a category, you will be asked to assign the assets to another category.
